YARMOUTH — Mulford F. “Skip” Simmons Jr., age 70, of Brunswick, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, at Coastal Manor in Yarmouth, after a short illness.

Skip was born in Brunswick on June 16, 1947, a son of Mulford F. and Esther (Payne) Simmons Sr. He graduated from Camden-Rockport High School and attended the University of Southern Maine. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict.

Mr. Simmons worked in medical administration at Togus Veterans Hospital for many years.

Skip leaves behind his son, Aaron Prescott, and his wife, Lisa, of Rockport; his daughter, Melissa Jones, of Topsham; his sister, Nancy Giveen, of Brunswick; three granddaughters, Chloe Jones, Madeline Jones and Corynn Prescott; two nieces and several great-nieces and nephews.
