AUBURN — Rose R. Moreau, 92, of Schooner Estates, Auburn, died Sunday, Feb. 18, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice Services in Auburn. Born in Lewiston on Oct. 18, 1925, she was the daughter of Albert and Bernadette Picard Ratté. Educated locally, she married Rene Yvon Moreau on Nov. 22, 1947. Mr. Moreau passed away Aug. 20, 2015.
A graduate of St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing, Rose served as a registered nurse for many years at St. Mary’s Hospital, and later as a registered medical records librarian for St. Mary’s. At the end of her nursing career she worked for Dr. Paul J. LaFlamme.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, lending support and encouragement generously whenever needed. She enjoyed reading with her family and observing nature, often spending time at Higgins Beach and Ogunquit.
Survivors include a daughter, Anne Moreau-Burg, of Lewiston; two brothers, Marc Moreau and wife, Juliet, of Philadelphia, Pa., and Guy Moreau of San Francisco, Calif.; two sisters, Rita and husband, Roland Beaulieu, of Lewiston, and Imelda and husband, Lucien Guay, of Auburn; four grandchildren, Michelle Burg, Aimee Burg, Joseph Burg and Thomas Burg; and a great-grandson, Henry Stutzman-Burg.
