FARMINGTON — Several spring fundraisers are being planned by the Mt. Blue Music Boosters.

The Boosters seventh annual Cabaret will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 4, hosted by The Calzolaio Pasta Company in Wilton. The restaurant will provide the food, space and wait staff for this fundraiser.

Students, music educators and local musicians will join to provide two hours of entertainment. The proceeds will help the Music Boosters provide up to $3,000 in summer scholarships for music camps and private lessons and help with instrument repairs and purchases.

Mt. Blue Ensembles, Profectus Vocals, Franklin County Fiddlers, Jazz Ensemble and local duo, Crooked Bill, will keep the music flowing. The meal is a full-course Italian buffet with dessert. A cash bar will be available.

Tickets are available at DDG Booksellers and the Wilton Public Library. Cost is adults, $20; seniors, $15; students, $10; and family $50. Reservations may also be made at Calzolaio Pasta Company by calling 207-645-9500. For more information, call Debbie at 207-491-8503.

Other planned fundraisers include Ice Cream Socials, featuring Gifford’s ice cream in March, following each of the spring concerts held at Mt. Blue High School; and the “Flamingo Event” in April when, for $15, people can arrange to have a flock of 10 flamingos delivered under cover of darkness to the address of their choosing.

New this year, “The Drum Run” will take place in May to help raise funds for the purchase of drums for the new “Drum Line.”

Franklin County Fiddlers perform with director Steve Muise during last year’s Cabaret.
