FARMINGTON — The 2018 annual poetry contest, sponsored by the Literacy Volunteers and the Farmington Public Library, is open.
Cash prizes will be awarded in four categories: ages 10 and younger; 11 to 17; 18 to 25; and 26 plus.
All poets will retain intellectual rights to their work; hard copies of poems will not be returned; names of winners will be published; and name, contact information and age of poet must be on the back of the poem, not the front.
Submit entries to the Farmington Public Library front desk or mail to 117 Academy St., Farmington, ME 04938.
Deadline is Thursday, March 22, and winners will be announced Friday, April 13.
For more information, call the library at 207-778-4312.
