AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library has announced the kids calendar of March activities.

Sprouts: 10:30 to 10:50 a.m. Saturdays, March 10, 17, 24 and 31, in the Children’s Room. This is a lap-sit program for babies through 36 months and their caregivers. All gather on the story quilt with Heather for songs, nursery rhymes, dancing.

Sweet Peas: 10:30 to 11 a.m. Mondays, March 12, 19 and 26, in the Children’s Room. Join Miss Heather on the story quilt as she leads a lap-sit program for children ages 24 to 36 months and a parent. There will be stories, songs, rhythm instruments, fingerplays and flannel board fun on the story quilt.

Pre-School Story Time: 10 a.m. Wednesdays, March 7, 14, 21 and 28, in the Children’s Room. The preschool story program is for children ages 3 to 5 for stories, songs and a craft. On Wednesday, March 7, there will be a special Dr. Seuss story time and craft to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday.

Saturday Stories: 9:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, in the Children’s Room. Join local volunteer story lady, Judy D’Amour, as she leads children in interactive stories, rhymes, songs, creative dramatics and a craft. The program is best for children ages 2 to 6. All are welcome.

KIDS! Tinker Tuesday Squishy Circuits: 4 to 5 .m. Tuesday, March 13, in the Maggie Trafton Program Room. Kids ages 8 to 12 are invited to create dynamic play dough sculptures that light up and buzz. KIDS! Music Together Demonstration: 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, in the Maggie Trafton Program Room. Caroline Coffin will present a free demonstration of Music Together, a research-based music and movement program that supports the musical development of babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers. The program is for children ages 0 to 5. Space is limited. To register, call 207-333-6640, ext. 3.

KIDS! Wednesday Crafternoon Fun with Felt: 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, in the Children’s Room. A drop-in crafting program best for kids in grades K-6.This month they will be crafting with felt.

Family Place Play and Learn from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Fridays in April in the Maggie Trafton Room. As part of the Family Place Initiative, the library will hold a free parenting/playgroup series for parents and their young children ages 1 to 3. Play and Learn is designed to familiarize parents and their young children (12 to 36 months) with library and community services. It will give parents the chance to spend time with their child while meeting other families with young children. Play, sing, create a craft and have fun with a child. Community resource professionals will be on hand to discuss topics such as reading readiness, dental health, nutrition, physical fitness and behavior.
