NORWAY — The Norway Museum and Historical Society welcomed Marcye Gray as its new trustee at the recent annual meeting.

Gray joins a board of 11 volunteers who are in charge of running the organization.

Additional help comes from more volunteers, such as Hope Millet who was awarded the Father Don McAllister Volunteer of the Year award. For 10 years, Millet has cut out obituaries of Norway residents from the Advertiser Democrat and Sun Journal and pasted them onto cards that are filed at the society and used for research.

Also at the meeting, a special emeritus award in the form of an engraved plaque was presented to Trustee Marion Howe in appreciation for her long-time service to the organization.
