Shame on President Trump for letting the youths of this country down. They are the nation’s most vulnerable members.

Trump visited with the students from the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, and promised them much stronger gun laws at the national level. That effort has evaporated now and has been referred to a committee that will report back in a year with recommendations.

On that issue, the president’s courage and integrity have disappeared.

The nation’s youths deserve far better than that from their president.
