BRIDGTON — New England Donor Services will hold a community education session about organ, eye and tissue donation from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at Bridgton Hospital.
More than 116,000 people are on the transplant wait list, and every day 22 people die waiting for a transplant. The need for organ, eye and tissue donation is never ending and becoming a donor can save up to eight lives and enhance the lives of more than 75 others.
The class will cover:
• How to register to be a donor;
• Statistics;
• Legalities;
• What can be donated;
• Who can donate;
• Myths and facts about donation;
• Family Support.

The session will be held in the large boardroom, 10 Hospital Drive.
