OXFORD — New Ventures Maine has been offering free workshops and one-on-one coaching for over 30 years throughout the state. Providing free training and education in the areas of business start-up, financial planning, career building and community leadership, New Ventures has announced workshops for April.

“Building Confidence” is a three-week class that gives participants the tools to work on confidence every day. The free class will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, April 11, 18 and 25, in Oxford.

Chris Davis, trainer, said, “This is really a great opportunity for people of all ages and stages. No matter who you are, if you’re not consciously using your thoughts and actions to support feelings of worth and competence, the tides of life are breaking them down … (‘Building Confidence’) is an experiential workshop that has received great feedback.”

“Budgeting Basics” will also be offered in Oxford from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 4. All are welcome to attend, practice the value of money-tracking and goal-setting and create a budget that builds their savings and suits their lifestyle.

The two workshops are open to individuals and couples of all ages and incomes. Anyone who is interested in increasing skills with finances or confidence is welcome to attend.

Preregistration is required and there is no fee. For more information or to register, contact Chris Davis, New Ventures Maine, at 207-753-6531 or register online at newventuresmaine.org.
