LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce will present a workshop on hiring with disabilities April 25 at the chamber office, 415 Lisbon St.

The workshop will be held from noon to 1 p.m. and is titled “Working the Workforce Seminar: Hiring People with Disabilities: It isn’t just the right thing to do, it is good for business.” It will be led by Lillian Doughty of the Pine Tree Society.

A licensed social worker and certified in supportive employment with more than 30 years in working with people with disabilities, Doughty will explore the benefits of hiring people with disabilities and how it can have a positive impact on the bottom line of any business. Resources and steps that a business can take in hiring people with disabilities will be provided.
