REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Bertrand L. Jutras passed away on Jan. 7 after suffering a head injury in December. Bert was born in Lewiston in 1942 to Theresa Duclos and Conrad Jutras. He had two sisters, Dolores and Annette, and a brother, Conrad. Bert was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1961. After graduating he served in the Air Force as an aircraft radio repairman from 1962 to 1970 and was honorably discharged. He continued his work on radios at United Airlines from which he retired after 20 years. Bert was proud of his volunteer service with the South County Amateur Radio Emergency Services. He was recognized by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s office for his 15 years of service to the Communications Unit when he retired in January 2016. Bert was survived by his two sisters Dolly Jutras Ebollito Lucero and Annette Jutras Michaels Tidwell, his niece Suzanne Miller Rose and family; his two nephews Michael and Duke Tidwell and their families; and his niece, Robin Jutras.
