On Feb. 6, Gwendolyn Lacombe of Lewiston presented the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society with donations received for her 11th birthday. Lacombe, a fifth-grade student at the Geiger Elementary School, asked for donations for the pets in lieu of birthday gifts. The shelter is located at 55 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston.
