An unusual sight was the ice coming over the falls between Lewiston and Auburn, Friday afternoon. Great floes had been loosened somewhere in the river, and swinging down the Lewiston shore went boldly over the section of the dam directly back of the power house. Great cakes, thirty or more feet across, swept slowly toward the dam, tilted and slid over. The ice is abnormally thick, some of the cakes appearing to be four or five feet or more through. The dam beneath the railroad bridge was also a picturesque sight, with the great floes tumbling over it. The river above the dam is evidently clearing.

A multi-talented group of individuals will bring the Twin Cities to Russia in June when a local performing arts group treats Moscow theatergoers to a rather unique production of “A Chorus Line.” Community Little Theater Moscow will perform the first Broadway musical ever to be seen by the Russian people, according to John Blanchette, the group’s director. This American classic gives us the perfect opportunity to demonstrate to the Russian people the true style of American dance, acting and singing,” Blanchette said. The independently organized theater group has been helped by Community Little Theater in Auburn, which has provided rehearsal space, funding and organizational help.
