SABATTUS — Police arrested a Lewiston man who was charged with stealing power tools, beer and cash from a local pizza restaurant earlier this week.

Keith Levasseur, 35, was arrested Thursday on charges of burglary and theft by unauthorized taking, both Class C felonies and each punishable by up to five years in prison, according to a statement from the Police Department.

He also was charged with criminal mischief, a Class D misdemeanor, punishable by up to 364 days in jail.

Police said Levasseur had been staying temporarily at 69 Lisbon Road, where the tools were recovered.

Police received a complaint Monday of a burglary at Sabattus House of Pizza, which is under renovation.
