NORTH TURNER — Douglas I. Mason, 74, a resident of North Turner, passed away Wednesday morning, April 11, at his home, following a brief illness, with his son by his side.
He was born July 4, 1943, in Turner, the son of Carroll Mason and Bernice (Lee) Mason. He attended school in Turner. On July 7, 1967, he married Roberta Gordon. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage before her passing in 2014. Doug worked for the Department of Transportation, retiring after 30 years of service. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and going to auctions.
He is survived by his son, Anthony Mason, and his wife, Jill, of Livermore; his grandson, Liam Mason; brothers, Phil Mason and his wife, Diane, of Turner, and John Mason of Leeds; sisters, Marceline Walton of Turner, Lois Keene of Turner, and Diane Mason of Buckfield.
He was predeceased by his parents; and his wife, Roberta.
