Hannaford Chef’s Table chefs Kerry Altiero, left, and David Turin join Good Shepherd Food Bank Executive Director Kristen Miale and Hannaford Vice President of Marketing Maile Buker, far right, at the Burchard A. Dunn School in New Gloucester recently to announce $225,000 in support for child nutrition statewide. The donation will support school-based food pantries and Cooking Matters, an outreach program of the Good Shepherd Food Bank that helps families learn how to access and prepare nutritious meals. The donation is part of a multi-state, $500,000 initiative to help children at risk of going hungry, and is being launched in conjunction with Hannaford Chef’s Table, a partnership that includes four Northeast chefs with a passion for building community and for helping home cooks make fresh, affordable meals.
