The University of Maine Symphonic Band visited Poland Community School for an afternoon performance on April 6. The ensemble performed 11 concerts in four days during their annual spring tour. Second-grader Wyatt Scribner received a surprise when he was invited to conduct Karl King’s “Host of Freedom March” with the band. Wyatt stepped up to the podium without hesitation and conducted an ensemble of nearly 50 adults.
