U.S. Sens. Susan Collins and Angus King met with 16 eighth-grade students, parents and teachers from Auburn Middle School who traveled to Washington, D.C., as part of the school’s biennial class trip. The students toured the U.S. Capitol building, explored Smithsonian museums and walked along the National Mall to see the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial and the World War II Memorial.
