AUBURN — Richard C. Palman, 84, of Montello Heights, Lewiston, died on his birthday, Wednesday, April 25, at the Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn.

Born in Lewiston on April 25, 1934, he was the son of Thomas and Antoinette Ouellette Palman Jr. Educated in local schools, he was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of ’54.

After graduation, he served in the Air Force, and was stationed in Germany. While in Germany, he met his former wife, Ursula Klinke Palman, and they were married in December 1958. Following his military service, he went to work for the department of the Navy as a civilian, specializing in equipment and information services, retiring in 1990. A member of the former St. Patrick’s Parish, he was a sports fan, enjoyed bowling and golf, and loved to travel, especially in Europe and Asia.

Survivors include a son, Kurt, and wife, Mary Bridget Palman, of St. Leonard, Md.; a brother, James, and wife, Patricia Palman, of Wilmington, Mass.; sister, Joline Froton, of Auburn; three grandchildren, Nicole, Colleen and Thomas Palman; and fiancee, Pauline Bosse, of Lewiston; also, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
