Kudos to Dr. Scott Bernardy and the dental team at Riverview Dental for continuing the legacy of Dentistry with A Heart Day. Several area dentists have been involved through the years with that effort, which started around Valentine’s Day many years ago.

I recall a line of needy people standing outside my office doors at 5 a.m. on a sub-zero February morning, hoping for some relief from dental pain.

This year’s Dentistry with A Heart Day is on May 11, hopefully under much warmer conditions. It was profiled in the Sun Journal’s Sun Spots column April 25. People can find additional information there.

Those truly in need are thankful for the care and concern offered by area dentists.
