AUBURN — Beatrice “Bea” G. Moreau, 74, a resident of Jay, passed away, Saturday, April 28, at Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn, with her family by her side, following a severe stroke Saturday, April 21.
She was born Oct. 12, 1943, in Sanford, the daughter of Albert Chretien and Lucille (Allaire) Chretien. She was a 1961 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. On January 7, 1961, she married Dennis Boulanger and they had sons Michael and Daniel. They later divorced. Bea worked as a factory worker at the Needle Factory in Laconia, New Hampshire. Later, on one of her visits back to Livermore Falls, she met Richard Moreau of Jay, and they married April 8, 1989, at the North Livermore Baptist Church. On Dec. 12, 1992, they renewed their vows at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Amvets Ladies Auxiliary Post 33, Rumford Eagles 1248 Auxiliary, Maine County Music Association and the DECMA – Down East Country Music Association. Bea enjoyed playing bingo, crafts and was a gifted quilter.
She is survived by husband, Richard “Dick” Moreau, of Jay; her son, Michael Boulanger, and his wife, Charlene, of Meredith, New Hampshire; stepdaughters Diane Levesque and her husband, Gerard, of Davenport, Florida, and Karen Dalot and her husband, Robert, of Jay; five grandchildren: Jason; Kenny and his wife, Jennifer, and Shawn Boulanger; and Samantha and Brian Dalot, two great-grandchildren: Claire Mary Boulanger and Carson Dalot; former husband, Dennis Boulanger, and his wife, Cookie, of Meredith, New Hampshire.
She was predeceased by her parents; her son, Daniel Boulanger; stepdaughter, Kim Moreau; and her brother, Donald Chretien.
