DEAR SUN SPOTS: Each year, our beloved Moxie Festival brings in tens of thousands of people from around the world. There is a group of extremely dedicated volunteers who spend much of the year prepping to ensure the festival is a success. However, we always welcome anyone who would like to join us in the planning process, as well as to volunteers who can help out on Friday and Saturday, July 13-14. Time commitment can be as little as an hour or as much as you can give. If you able to volunteer, please email Jonathan Jones at notjustanotherjones5@gmail.com.

The Moxie Festival would also like to add additional children’s activities to our MTM Center on Saturday, July 14. Those interested may email: coordinator@moxiefestival.com.

Vendor forms are available at: http://moxiefestival.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/2018MoxieFestivalVendorApplication-docx-1.pdf.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: W.G. Mallett School PTA will sponsor a Yard Sale/Flea Market on May 5 from 8 a.m. to noon. We welcome school groups, clubs or individuals to join us. It’s a great fundraising opportunity. The PTA will do all the advertising. If it rains, we will set up inside. You can reserve a space for $15 each, but will need to provide your own tables. If you don’t want a space, but would like to donate gently-used items, please call Mallett School at 207-778-3529 to make arrangements to drop your items off.

For more information, call Katie Hallman or Morgan Leso at the Mallett School. Thank you!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I found another place to play bingo in the Lewiston-Auburn area. It’s at John F. Murphy Homes’ The Shop, 1512 Minot Ave. in Auburn. They play bingo at 6 p.m. Thursdays. It costs $2. Hope this helps the person who wanted to find another place to play bingo.

ANSWER: Thank you for adding to the list of bingo “parlors” listed in Sun Spots on March 22 and 27. It’s good to know there are so many choices. Good luck to all you bingo players out there!
