AUBURN — The VFW District 9 Convention was held April 22 at the VFW Post 1603, 588 Minot Ave., where nominations and elections for the 2018-2019 year took place. 

Officers elected and installed by Arthur Roy, PSC, were Craig M. Dufour, trustee, three years; Arthur Roy, judge advocate and membership chairman; Gerry Francis, trustee, two years, and community activities chairman; Jerry Lurz, chaplain; back, Howard Gooldrup, quartermaster; Edward Roach Jr., junior vice commander; Richard S. Hatch, senior vice commander; Keith Davis, youth activities and Scout chairman; Carl Douglass, officer of day and guard; Ozzie J. Reichard, surgeon; David D. Williams, district inspector; Terry L. Garvin, VOD/PP Teacher of the Year; Kenneth Blake, member; Robert Hodgkins, trustee, one year, and Jennifer L. Lane, District 9 commander.

The State Convention is scheduled for June 22 and 23 in Bangor.
