Robin Dow Senior Citizens meeting

AUBURN — Robin Dow Senior Citizens met on Wednesday, April 25, at Schooner Estates, with 32 members in attendance. A luncheon was served.

Attendance winners were Mary Tasinarri and Madge Gardner; red tickets, Donna Brown, Virginia Trafford and Bruce Macomber; white tickets, Nancy Roy, Bryan Adams and Carmela Hewitt; blue tickets, Carol Lepage, Joline Bell and Leigh Whittle.

The next meeting will be held Wednesday, May 9, with a director’s meeting at 10:45 a.m. and the regular meeting at 11:30. Tickets will be on sale for $6 for the meal on Wednesday, May 23, which will be a memorial service.

Cemetery association to convene

AUBURN — The North Auburn Cemetery Association will hold its annual spring meeting at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the home of Don and Terry Lebel, 625 North Auburn Road.

Lewiston students awarded scholarships

LEWISTON — Brooke M. Smiley and Jordan A. Smiley, students at Lewiston High School, have been awarded National Merit General Dynamics Corp. Scholarships. 

Their probable career field will be biomedical engineering.

Pickwick Club to discuss Dickens book 

AUBURN — The Pickwick Club, Maine’s only Dickens reading and discussion group, will meet from 10 a.m. to noon (summer hours) Saturday, June 23, at the Auburn Public Library.

The novel to be discussed is Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations,” Chapters 1 through 29. Moderators will be Sherrie Baker and Debbie Bliss.

Auburn Farmer’s Market needs vendors

AUBURN — The City of Auburn has announced the return of the Auburn Farmers Market for the summer from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, June 5 through Oct. 2, in the Rolly’s Diner parking lot, 87 Mill St., New Auburn.

The market is seeking vendors who are interested in participating. They will need to provide appropriate insurance, permits and licensure.
