AUBURN — Diane V. Morin, 62, of Lewiston died Monday, April 30, at Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice of Auburn with her family at her side. She was born in Lewiston on May 31, 1955. Diane was one of 10 children to Charles and Cecile Mailhot Morin.

She had attended local Auburn schools, graduating Class of ’73. During her employment she had worked in local nursing homes as a certified nurses’ aide and medical technician. Diane adored cooking, long walks, she liked the ocean, reading many books and spending many favorable hours at the Lewiston library. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church where she made many friends that were more like family to her. All who knew her were fond of her incredible sense of humor.

Diane leaves behind nine siblings, two brothers and seven sisters: Charles (Joe) and spouse, Venise Morin, of Lewiston; Lorraine Bilodeau of Ansonia, Conn.; Anita and husband, John Smith, of Okeechobee, Fla.; Jackie and husband, Robert Sherburne, of Auburn; Pauline and husband, Roger LeHouillier, of Auburn; Aline Froster of Monson, Mass.; Raymond and Dolores Morin of Windham; Louise and husband, Robert Mericer, of The Village, Fla.; Joan and husband, Raymond Belanger, of Poland.

Diane was predeceased by both of her parents.

The family wishes to express a special thank-you to the doctors and nurses at Central Maine Medical Center. Special thank-you to Montello Manor staff and Hospice House. Again, to all the special angels at the Calvary Church over the years who watched over Diane.
