LEWISTON — The Lewiston Middle School String Orchestra, under the direction of Greg Boardman, will take the stage at the Oasis of Music, Trinity Church, 247 Bates St.,Wednesday, May 9, beginning at 12:30 p.m.

This program will include an arrangement of the first movement of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto Number Three, “Sahara Crossing” by Richard Meyer, and a medley of fiddle tunes. Also on the program will be two songs arranged for singer and orchestra: “Tahriib,” composed by Somali artist Aar Maanta, and “Life in a Boat” by Kate Rusby, sung by Maria Groover, who will also accompany herself on guitar.
