Bike rodeo, play day Saturday

PARIS — The Oxford Hills Rotary Club and the Norway-Paris Kiwanis Club  are holding the annual May Day Play Day and Bike Rodeo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, rain or shine. 

The Kiwanis Club will hold its annual bike inspection station, bike safety course, with free helmets to participants.

Mexico Public Library summer hours

MEXICO — The Mexico Public Library will be closed on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays from May 13 to Aug. 25. It will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

The library will host a summer reading program for children ages 2 to 7, 8 to 12, teens and adults from June 25 through Aug. 17 with a theme of “Bug Out and Read!”

Donations for the summer basket raffle are being accepted and winners will be drawn in mid-June.

Briar Patch Greenhouse to open

MEXICO — Hope Association’s Briar Patch Greenhouse will open at at 85 Highland Terrace at 8 a.m. Thursday, May 10. It will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Sunday, May 27, the greenhouse will close at noon and it will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 28.

Proceeds will benefit the Hope Association.
