LEWISTON — Jacqueline Blanche Gendron, 77, of Lewiston died peacefully after a long battle with MS on Thursday, April 26.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 31, 1940, the oldest daughter of Blanche and Rudolph Cloutier. She leaves behind her loving sisters and brothers, Theresa, Georgette, Helen, Frank and Raymond.

Jackie married the love of her life, Claude Gendron, on Oct. 31, 1959.

She attended Lewiston High School and later graduated from Mr. Bernard’s School of Cosmetology. She later opened Jackie’s House of Beauty in her home in 1970 so she could keep a close eye on her five children, Doreen, Sandra, Jimmy, Donna and Debbie. Claude and Jackie opened C & J Hall in 1985.

Jackie enjoyed dancing, camping, travel and bingo, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her five children, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice and Jackie’s sister, Theresa Harris, for lovingly helping to care for her during her illness.
