FARMINGTON — A local man was charged with drunken driving after the vehicle he was driving on Whittier Road went into a ditch and rolled over early Thursday.
Everard Cooper, 29, of Farmington was unable to get out of the vehicle by himself because it was against a street sign, Bonnie Pomeroy, a secretary for Farmington Police Department, said, citing officer Jacob Richards’ report.
Cooper was checked by a NorthStar EMS ambulance personnel and cleared medically.
After a field sobriety test, he was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence of alcohol and taken to the Franklin County Detention Center in Farmington, Pomeroy said.
Cooper posted $150 cash bail and was released Thursday. He is scheduled to appear June 26 at a Farmington court.
