It certainly isn’t an emergency, nor is it an “incident,” but it should be addressed by the Police Department. DEAR SUN SPOTS: Do you know of anyone in the area who teaches playing the mountain dulcimer?

ANSWER: It just so happens that I do know of someone! The dulcimer, a fretted string instrument of the zither family, was originally played in the Appalachian region. Pam Weeks of Bowdoin keeps the tradition alive by teaching the instrument in Turner and Bath. She is also scheduled to teach at Maine Fiddle Camp in Montville this summer. DEAR SUN SPOTS: Why do online articles in Sun Spots not allow for highlighting and copying? Recently there was information about clock repair. I wanted to copy and save it in my notes for future reference but I couldn’t copy and paste it.

ANSWER: I’m not sure why you were having trouble with that. I just tested it myself and was able to copy and paste without a problem. Try again by simply left-clicking with your keyboard mouse on where you want to start copying and move the mouse over the paragraphs. Once you have highlighted what you want, hit “Control C” to copy then “Control V” to paste.

If you’re still having issues, a wonderful resource for computer assistance is to contact your local library where tech help of all types is often offered. Some locations require that you call ahead for an appointment but it’s all free!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Regarding the May 1 Sun Spots, about 12 years ago when I was living in Turner, there was a gray squirrel with a red tail coming to our bird feeder. I have also seen one in Newport a couple years ago. I have been told there are many color variations, but we just don’t see them very often. I’ve been hunting for 60 years and have never seen a squirrel that was different from the others in the thousands of squirrels I’ve seen in the woods.
