LEWISTON — Neighbors of Bates College should expect to hear and see some pyrotechnics this weekend.

A student group at Bates will present fireworks over the college’s Lake Andrews starting around 9 p.m. Saturday, May 12.

Sangai Asia, an organization promoting Asian and Asian-American awareness, identity and fellowship at Bates, sponsors a fireworks show near the end of every academic year.
