SABATTUS — The Harry J. Conway Post 135 American Legion will hold its second annual Memorial Day 5K on Monday, May 28. The 5K will start at the Legion hall on Island Rd. in Sabattus at 8 a.m.

Registration is race-day only and will begin at 7 a.m. at the Legion hall.

The event will precede the traditional Memorial Day Parade, and all participants are invited to stay to see the parade after the race.

Registration is $15 for adults and $10 for those 17-under. Medals will be awarded for age group winners and there will also be several raffles. The proceeds of the race will go to support the annual Sabattus American Legion scholarship at Oak Hill High School.
