BOWDOINHAM — A Richmond man died Friday night when his pickup crashed into trees along Interstate 295.
Gary Hastings, 76, of Richmond, lost control of his 2008 Ford pickup truck, went into the median and struck a tree around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
He was alone and died at the scene, according to Maine State Police.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factors.
