I love the Sun Journal’s photos of flowers and insect visitors. The photo on page A8 on Wednesday, May 9, is gorgeous. The featured insect actually is a bee mimic: a fly, probably a “hoverfly” (family Syrphidae). The?se pollinators ?are excellent bee mimics? and the larvae of some species consume aphids.?
