RUMFORD — Two Massachusetts men were taken into custody Tuesday and charged with drug trafficking, according to Police Chief Stacy Carter.
Carter said officers seized 24.6 grams of cocaine and cash totaling $1,527.
Police arrested Deburgo and Taft following a suspicious persons report at 8:52 a.m.
Deburgo and Taft have each been charged with aggravated drug trafficking, reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and refusal to submit to arrest or detention.
Both were taken to the Oxford County Jail. Bail was set at $50,000 each. They are scheduled to appear at Rumford District Court on July 9.
During the investigation, Tiana Crossley, 36, Hector Morales, 39, and Richard Stickney, 35, all of Rumford, were also arrested on Cumberland Street for violating conditions of their probation. They were taken to the Oxford County Jail on probation holds.
