JAY — Three local boys accused of underage drinking have each been charged with a civil violation of illegal possession of liquor by a minor, Police Chief Richard Caton IV said.
Jay police, assisted by Wilton and Livermore Falls officers, responded early Thursday to a report of an underage drinking party on Macomber Hill Road. Three of the six people there were given summonses to appear in court, Caton said. Two are 17 years old; the other is 15.
Two of the teenagers were taken to the hospital after becoming ill from drinking alcohol, the chief said.
There were no adults in the home at the time, he said.
The case will be reviewed by the District Attorney’s Office.
