Robin Dow Seniors to have memorial service

AUBURN — Robin Dow Senior Citizens met on May 9 with 30 members present. Attendance winners were Callie Adams and Joline Bell; red tickets, Bob Bell and Charlotte Dyer twice; white tickets, Nancy Duprey, Carmela Hewitt and Virginia Trafford; blue tickets, Lucy Cowles, Nancy Hutchinson and Bruce Macomber.

The group will meet Wednesday, May 23, with a Memorial Service led by Sally Gagnon. A pizza luncheon will be served.

Teen Challenge golf tournament

TURNER – The men’s residential drug and alcohol rehab center, Teen Challenge Maine, is hosting its 11th annual golf tournament on Saturday, June 23, at Turner Highlands Golf Course.

CNA Certification Course offered

AUBURN — The Center for Workforce & Professional Development at Central Maine Community College has partnered with St. Mary’s Health System to offer an Earn While You Learn opportunity with a 180-hour CNA certification course, starting on June 5 and running through August 10.

While training to become a CNA at CMCC, participants will be paid by St. Mary’s for on-the-job training. Upon successful completion of the course and obtaining CNA certification, the participants will have a full-time job waiting for them at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion.
