PORTLAND — Diocese of Portland has announced Mass celebrations and prayer services are planned for churches and cemeteries around Maine on Memorial Day Weekend, May 26 to 28.
Local Masses and services planned include:
Bridgton: St. Joseph Parish will celebrate a Memorial Day Mass at 8 a.m. Monday, May 28, at Saint Joseph Church on 225 South High St.
Lewiston: Bishop Robert P. Deeley will celebrate a Memorial Day Mass on at 10 a.m. Monday, May 28, in the mausoleum chapel at St. Peter’s Cemetery on 217 Switzerland Road in Lewiston. All are invited to attend the Mass.
Livermore Falls: Weather permitting, the Rev. Paul Dumais will celebrate a Memorial Day Mass at 1 p.m. Monday, May 28, at Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park St. Those attending should bring a lawn chair.
Rumford: The Rev. Nathan March will celebrate Memorial Day Mass at 8:15 a.m. Monday, May 28, at St. John’s Cemetery on Isthmus Road.
