STONEHAM — This month, the Congregational churches of North Waterford and Stoneham welcomed the Rev. Leslie Anne Chatfield as their new minister.

Chatfield, who lives in Bethel with her husband, has most recently been serving as interim pastor in several Maine churches and with the Outdoor Ministries Program in Maine and New Hampshire. She brings a wealth of training and experience to her work, including degrees in English, Latin and music; special education; and coursework toward a doctorate in existential psychology; as well as a master’s in divinity from Bangor Theological Seminary.

Sunday services during May and June are held at 10 a.m. in the Stoneham Church on Route 5 in Stoneham. In July and August, services will be held, also at 10 a.m., in the North Waterford Church on Route 35, opposite Melby’s Eatery. All are invited to come and help welcome Chatfield to the area.
