Edward “Ned” Claxton is the kind of person that democracies need. He listens before he speaks. Then … versus staking out a position, he reaches out to everyone to try and build consensus.
I’ve known Ned first as the directing physician of the Central Maine Family Residency Program and later as a member in the First Universalist Church of Auburn. He is an involved, energetic person who is happiest working with and for others to get things done.
In each activity Dr. Claxton undertakes, he steps up for additional duties — often resulting in leadership roles. However, he is a quiet man with a deep sense of responsibility for the well-being of his community and the State of Maine. You can’t talk to Ned without knowing that he cares.
I plan to vote for Ned Claxton for state senator of Senate District 20 (Auburn, Mechanic Falls, Minot, New Gloucester, and Poland).
