RUMFORD — Host Tammy Schmersal Burgess and the whole cast have worked together again to produce one of the funniest live local sketch comedies around: “Friday Night Live,”  at 49 Franklin, Friday, June 9. This is a special one-time encore “FNL 8” with special musical guest Chad Haynes.

Director Duane Glover says he loves a good “where” and these skits have some great “wheres” including: the movie theater, the Hotel Rumford, retirement home, paint-and-sip and the wild, wild West. Some of the characters include locals, world leaders, politicians, and of course Tammy Schmersal as local iconic waitress and real-life character Julie Salitino.

“Friday Night Live” is modeled after “Saturday Night Live” with news parody, music and sketch comedy. Writers Susie Puiia, Duane Glover and Scot Grassette provide all original local material and the players fill the rolls perfectly. The cast includes Tammy Schmersal, Duane Glover, Mike Brennick, Zac Calden, Eric Schmersal, Ronnie Hutchinson, Scot and Cindy Grassette, Cody Smith, Carol
Smith, Tom Leclair, Kayla Puiia, and Chad Haynes.

Advance tickets are $20 available at Bartash’s and All That Jazz downtown Rumford and online at www.49franklin.com . If any tickets are available on the day of the show, they will be $25.
