Former President George H. W. Bush has been discharged from Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, his spokesman announced Monday afternoon on Twitter.
The summer resident of Kennebunkport checked into the hospital last week with low blood pressure.
Bush is spending his first summer in Maine since the death of his wife Barbara this spring.
He visited the American Legion Post 159 for their pancake breakfast over Memorial Day weekend.
While in the hospital he expressed his regrets over missing the Memorial Day parade.
