The Androscoggin County Pomona grange met on Wednesday with the subordinate grange at Turner, and the crowd was a big one. It was a glorious summer morning, and one of the biggest cars of the local trolley line was packed to its capacity when it left the head of Lisbon street. On reaching Turner Village a full score of autos were found waiting at the terminus, ready to take the visitors to the grange hall, two miles or more away. What would, the old-time patrons of a quarter of a century ago have said to have seen such a sight?

The tragic death of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, and the fact that President Lyndon B. Johnson has proclaimed Sunday to be a national day of mourning, has resulted in the postponement of several previously-scheduled events, including the always-popular Pancake Breakfast, sponsored and presented by the Auburn-Lewiston Kiwanis Club. The breakfast, at which many hundreds of persons are served annually, has been postponed to Sunday, June 16.
