Maine’s Second Congressional District is incredibly fortunate to have Jared Golden as a Democratic candidate. As a state Representative for Lewiston, he has, among many things, spoken out strongly for veterans. He advocates for them, not just because he himself is a veteran of tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, he does it because he believes strongly that society should support the health of all Americans.
Whether it’s veterans’ affairs or health care or building a stronger economy for Mainers, he knows that complex problems require thoughtful solutions. His Democratic colleagues in the state Legislature in Augusta so deeply respect his approaches to problem-solving that they elected him one of their legislative leaders. He has experience negotiating for his constituents and he has gotten results.
Jared Golden is the best choice for the district because he is the only one with the range of legislative experience that is needed in Washington.
