Edward Little senior Grant Hartley is one of nine finalists for the Dr. John Winkin “Mr. Baseball” Award, the Maine Baseball Coaches Association announced Monday.

A pitcher/first baseman, Hartley was named the KVAC Class A North Player of the Year. He led the Red Eddies to a 13-4 record and into the regional quarterfinals.

The award is presented annually to Maine’s top high school senior in baseball. The winner will be announced at the Maine Senior All-Star game on June 21 at Colby College.

Other finalists are Evan Bess of Carrabec/Madison, Jacob Bickford of Dexter, Cam Cousins of Wells, Dean Grass of Bangor Christian, Cam King of Portland, Shane MacNeill of Traip and Brendan Tinsman of Cape Elizabeth.
