HARRISON — Selectman Achille F.S. Belanger lost his bid for re-election by three votes Tuesday.

Three candidates ran for two seats on the Board of Selectmen.

Penny Bean won one of them with 414 votes, followed by Henry Dumont with 213. Belanger had 210 votes.

There were 71 write-ins and 284 blank ballots for selectman. Henry Hudson Jr. was a declared write-in, but it is unknown whether the 71 write-in votes were all for him.

Planning Board members James B. Dayton and Elizabeth Perron garnered 375 and 401 votes, respectively, to retain their seats.

John Strickland was re-elected to the Board of Appeals with 478 votes.

School Administrative District 17 Director Albert R. Lisowski tallied 473 votes for re-election to a three-year term and Director Kathleen C. Laplante garnered 475 votes for the unexpired one-year term.
