Kennedy, Holman win seats to Dixfield Select Board
DIXFIELD — Montell “Bummy” Kennedy and Peter Holman won a five-way race Tuesday for three-year seats on the Board of Selectmen, according to Town Clerk Theresa Hemingway.
Kennedy received 321 votes and Holman 257 votes. They were followed by Scott Belskis (190), Clifford MacDonald (58) and Ricky Davis (54).
Kennedy served two full terms as selectman several years ago.
“Probably in July, I’m going to be retiring from the school department,” Kennedy said, “so I wanted to get back involved with the town, to give back.”
Holman said that after attending board meetings for some four years, “I’ve learned about how the board and town works.”
“What I have to offer is some common sense,” he said.
