PERU — Danielle Waleik, 36, of Peru was injured Thursday morning when her 2008 Subaru Impreza crashed into a roadside banking on Auburn Road in Peru, according to Deputy Derek MacDonald of the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident was reported shortly after 11 a.m.

“She had some sort of medical issue and went off the road,” MacDonald said, adding that Waleik was taken by Med-Care Ambulance to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Waleik’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.
