Mark and Bonnie Jo Irving
PERU — Bonnie Jo White, daughter of Joseph and Rebecah White of Rumford, and Mark Kenneth Irving, son of Kenneth and Ramona Irving of Clinton, were united in marriage on Saturday, Jan. 20, at the United Baptist Church of Peru. Pastor Shepard Swain performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her mother, Rebecah White. The bride wore a white off-the-shoulder A-line dress with a lace cape flowing from the shoulders. She wore a small veil headpiece with snowflakes. The veil part was from her mother’s wedding veil. She carried a bouquet of white and blue lilies and roses complemented with evergreens and a snowflake.
Her matron of honor was Kristy White, sister-in-law, and her bridesmaids were Cheryl Gould and Rachel Stires, sisters of the bridegroom, and Alexandra White, sister-in-law of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Emily Gould, niece of the bridegroom. They wore light blue dresses and wore white fur shawls and carried floral bouquets with snowflakes.
Best man was Kevin White, brother of the bride. Groomsmen were Todd Gould and Thomas Stires, brothers-in-law of the bridegroom, and Joseph White, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Isaac White, nephew of the bride. The bride’s little attendants were Aaron and Nathan White, also nephews of the bride. Beth Voter, aunt of the bride, escorted the bride’s little attendants, who held a sign and tossed snowballs in the aisle.
The bride surprised her husband by singing “Better Place” and her mother read a poem she had written for the couple.
A snowflake themed reception was held in the church fellowship hall. The children enjoyed Olaf the snowman pinata.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and a 2015 graduate of Maine College of Health Professionals. She is employed as a registered nurse at Rumford Community Hospital.
The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Lawrence High School. He is employed by Ken Irving Trucking in Clinton.
The couple enjoyed a cruise to the Western Caribbean and now reside in Mexico.
