LOVELL — The Kezar Lake Watershed Association recently published a 21-page booklet describing what lake dwellers should know and do to protect water quality.
“Lake Dwellers Handbook, Citizen’s Guide to Protecting Water Quality is co-sponsored by the Kezar Lake Watershed Association and town selectmen. It was written and designed by Laura Diemer of FB Environmental of Portland and Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
The booklet contains illustrated and easy-to-understand information on best practices for homeowners living on or near a water body. “The booklet is intended for everyone who cares about water quality even though it was written about Kezar Lake,” said Heinrich Wurm, director of water quality for the association.
It includes local ordinances, resources and references and a glossary.
It will be distributed free of charge by the association to road associations and neighborhoods. A limited number of copies are also available at the Town Office and local stores. A $5 donation is recommended.
